The 2010 East Coast Black Age of Comics Con @ Philly.

Hello everyone, it’s me again, promoting and marketing currents events, get used to it everyone…I am here to get the word out. Back in June, Myself and fellow comic artist Carl Cee Kent attended the “East Coast Black Age of Comics Con” in Philly.
The event was a remarkable show, it wasn’t your typical small press comic con with unknown artist and money hungry vendors, the show instead was a show that was full of good spirit artists and creators and zero vendors. A great idea on the part of the organizers for excluding vendors, they do take’s away from the small press artist in selling their books.
At the event. I felt the show message was about the supporting Indy artists and their works of arts. Furthermore, I didn’t sense any type of negative tension at the show, everyone at the show came to see and support Indy comic book artists. This show was an eye opener for me on how you could promote an event to a selective market and still celebrate and recognize comic book creators as an important element in the art field. I want to give a big shot out to my brother’s at Xion studios my Philly connections for putting me on to the cool Philly Indy artist scene. Also, Alex Simmons for conducting the very informative workshop, it was great to see you again sharing your knowledge with us. Finally, the best moment at the event was meeting up with YUMY ODOM FOUNDER OF ECBACC the organizer of this important event & super thanks for sharing with me the importance of an event this magnitude, and it’s purpose to the community and young aspiring artists all over. BRONXNET "OPEN" T.V. Interview

A couple of month ago Ray Felix and myself did an interview for a local public access T.V show called OPEN on BRONXNET. We did the show and had a great time. We got interview by T.V show host Rhina Valentin. She was real cool, her staff made sure we where both comfortable in front of the T.V cameras. It was an experience i won't forget. Personally, that was my 1st ever T.V interview, I believe this was also Ray Felix 1st T.V interview ever? Hopefully, it won't be our last at BRONXNET. We might possibly do a BRONXNET comic book show soon. but, that's a secret for now. So check us out online, I will be posting the actual T.V episode shortly.

Hello my peoples, I want to thank everyone that came through and supported us at the 2nd Annual Bronx Heroes Comic Con event on May 1st. The event was a Huge success, we had a great time putting it together for everyone. I also want to thank BCA/ Hostos community college for all their support and help in putting this event together and finally to all my friends and family members that helped out and volunteer their time...Good looking! with out you guys, i wouldn't been able to do it alone...Anyways, here are a couple cool flix from that amazing event…Enjoy the photos.

Hello everyone out there in cyber space, it’s been a quick minute since I last posted anything on this blog! I am not very good at posting current events, but in due time I will get better at this. Hopefully? Since, my last posting 2 month ago, we have had numerous events including our very own Bronx Heroes comic convention a small comic book con tour in Philly along with Carl Cee-Kay Kent and Ray Felix. We also did various T.V. print media press and finally a cool interview with Bronxnet. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a dedicated weekly update schedule; I will attempt in the coming weeks to do a weekly update on everything from comic books, art, music and anything else creative. Once again Thanks too everyone for still keeping the support.

Bronx Heroes at the Miami international book fair

Cup 0 Java Studio's and Creative One Prod ground breaking Comic Book “ Bronx Heroes” made its debut at the Miami International Book Fair. Many Former Bronxites now Floridian were enthralled by the Bronx based Comic series. This was all part of the Alex Simmons KCC (Kids Comic Con) tour. We were also featured in the “ Color of Comic” Exhibition and Authors panel at the event. Artist and Writer, Ray Felix of "Runaway Slave” fame spoke on behalf of his Comrades Gary Camp and Ed Mouzon at the all day event. Please checks out the photos…ENJOY!

This is a look at the show we had at Longwood Art Gallery from March 4th through May 9th 2009. This event was a huge success and was curated by Ray Felix along with Juanita Lanzo from the Longwood Art Gallery. The Bronx Heroes Comic Book

From the creative minds of Ed Mouzon, Gary Camp, and Ray Felix comes “Bronx Heroes” a three part mini series featuring stories from four generations of crime fighters. Our series begins with the legend of Jonas Bronck and his apparent pact with the Native Indians and for generations heroes emerge from this union.

The 1st story starts in New York City around the slave-trading period, featuring “The Runaway Slave” as he struggles to gain he’s freedom from his captors and his restless search for his beloved family. The 2nd tale deals with an immigrant boxer turned crime fighter known as “The Brawler” we see our hero fighting crime and also trying to survive during the great depression.

From the depression era to the turbulent 1970’s of South Bronx, we introduced a Vietnam veteran who 's only goal is to straighten out his old neighborhood, readers we witness his transformation into a militant hero named “Brother Bx”. Finally rounding up the series we have the vigilante anti-hero only known as “BX” who will introduce readers to the violent underbelly of the Bronx. We hope readers will enjoy reading the many journeys through out the decades of the Bronx Heroes.

Cartoonists Collective in the comic book field our group is composed of illustrators, writers, graphic artists, painters and professional cartoonists. As a unit we feel it is our responsibility to bring together different kinds of artist in creating visual stories for a broader audience. Through visual storytelling we bring a sense of awareness and empowerment to our collaborations and personal works.

Is our belief of opening doors and giving opportunities to lesser known cartoonists and illustrators in our community which will help to foster a new generation of artists who would introduce an urban perspective lacking in most mainstream comic books stories.

The goal of Creative One Comics is to bring together as many different artistic perspectives in creating original and well-written stories that can be seen and read by today's generation. Every artist involved in our vision will play a pivotal role in making our company a strong collective of artists.
